Doom Kitty

Not quite sure what this boy would do if something happened to this cat.
Us on the other hand... meh.

Why does time have to fly by so fast? The top picture couldn't have possibly been taken over two years ago...I feel like I just took it yesterday! My how they have grown...except for Paul, he's aging in reverse...it's not fair.

I love how much fun kids can have with just a large cardboard box.

Zander and Aiden. Here are my two twins... (yes, you read right)...they call each other their twin, but really they are completely opposite in every way imaginable.
I asked them, "How do you know your twins?"
Their reply, "Because both our names begin with the letter "A", and we both have the movie, "Where the wild things are".
Duh! I should have known that!
I secretly wish Aiden was Zander's twin though.

January 10.
Zander turns FIVE! Where has the time gone? When I look at him I expect to see my plump, round, little red headed baby...but instead I see a bright eyed, white haired, freckle face, BIG BOY that I can't lift anymore.

I love him.
Even when I want to ring his neck, I love him.
I love how he wants to know how EVERYTHING works.
I love how he will wear shorts and a tank top when it's 40 degrees out (which isn't very often here)
I love how he still wants to sit on my lap and play with me.
I love that he will constantly bring home wood of any kind. He brought home a piece of wood one time that I couldn't lift!
I love that he will wear wranglers and a ninja shirt because he thinks it looks awesome.
I love that one day he decided he wanted to be called Alex. His teachers were confused for awhile...all of the sudden there was an Alex turning in papers.
I love his strong will and sweet spirit.
I love that he is a leader.
I love that he is so full of personality that sometimes I think he could burst if he can't show it.
I love him.

Happy fifth birthday Zander! We are so happy you are a part of our family.

For Zander's birthday party we had took him and four of his friends to the movies. We all had so much fun. It was so cute seeing them all lined up on their boosters eating their treats. Our birthday tradition is that whomever's birthday it is gets their very own birthday cake to eat alone. Zander wanted a chocolate one with sprinkles and felt pretty cool about it. He got a little help blowing out his candles by his friend Aiden. Zander wasn't too sure about that so he had us relight it so that he could blow it out again alone ha ha!
Happy Birthday Z-Bug! Your the best!
